Artist Noh
Yeonyoung Noh was born in 2005 in Suwon, South Korea. After spending her childhood moving through various cities across Korea with her family, she is currently based in Seoul. Growing up in constantly changing environments naturally led her to observe her surroundings from a position that felt neither completely unfamiliar nor fully belonging. This perspective continues to influence the way she observes and visually expresses emotions and inner thoughts in her work.
Just as a camera changes its distance and angle toward a subject, Noh approaches emotions and subjects from multiple perspectives in her practice. Working primarily with photography, she uses everyday objects and scenes to intuitively convey emotions that anyone can relate to.
Noh’s work pursues a visual language that is simple and accessible to everyone. She believes that art should not be something understood only through difficult explanations, but something capable of naturally communicating emotions on its own. Through simple yet honest images, she hopes viewers can discover and relate to their own emotions.
